with the 46th and 412th test Wings, the ATAC Data Processing System (DPS), in concert with an
IRIG Chapter 10 SSR, MARS-II or MERLIN Recording system offers the user the ability
to analyze data immediate after a test. The DPS software was designed using
modern object-oriented techniques and optimized to run on the latest 32-bit
operating systems from Microsoft. The user interface provides many easy-to-use
features including drag-and-drop output definition, point-and-click data format
election, and standard Windows menus. The DPS Software uses a standard format
to store parameter definitions making it easy to import existing definitions.
The Project Screen allows the user to visually identify key information such as
channel assignments, parameter libraries and output formats. (Click on

The Parameter Definition screen allows the user to create libraries that
describe how to extract user data from the input screen. (Click on

Output files are easily created with a drag-and-drop interface for all

The Mission Pass Editor provides a way to identify specific time slices and

Stand-alone data reduction capability. Removable hard drives provide multi-level
classification capability. Standard format files and use of an off-the-shelf
database make the system compatible with existing software. Rapid data turnaround facilitates timely decisions supporting aggressive test schedules.
Flexible reporting tools provide answers for engineers and technicians. Network
connectivity and CD-ROM writer make data distribution a snap. Tested and
supported libraries for F-15, F-16 and A-10 aircraft are already developed to
support DPS.
